DSHS CHOIR GRADUATE EARNS OUTSTANDING PERFORMER AWARD

Recent Dripping Springs High School graduate Kyndal Miethke received the Outstanding Performer Award for her choir performance at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest.

Miethke was one of 10 DSHS choir students to advance to the state competition in May following a Superior Rating at the regional contest. The state competition was conducted virtually with each student recording a video of themselves performing a vocal solo with a collaborative pianist.

Each year, a solo judge may designate exemplary soloists as Outstanding Performers. Miethke was one of just 233 student musicians, and only 75 vocal soloists in the entire state of Texas to earn the honor.
