DSHS SOCCER TEAMS ARE UNDEFEATED DISTRICT CHAMPIONS AS SEASON ENDS
Both the girls' and boys' Dripping Springs High School soccer teams capped off their regular seasons as undefeated district champions and are each ranked in the state's top-10.
The girls' team is ranked third in the state by the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) and has a 21-1 overall record, including 14-0 in district play. Over its 22 matches DSHS has outscored their opponents by a cumulative score of 108-4. The 2019 DSHS team qualified for the State Tournament.
The boys' team is ranked eighth in the state by MaxPreps in 5A and has
finished its regular season 20-3. The boys were also 14-0 in district play. Over its 23 matches DSHS has outscored their opponents by a cumulative score of 106-18. The Tigers only losses this season have come to fellow 5A top-10 teams Frisco Wakeland (#1) and Frisco Centennial (#9) and 6A squad Temple.
The 5A UIL playoffs for both the girls and boys teams are scheduled to begin following Spring Break, with the bi-district round set to be contested Mar. 26-28. (These dates were selected prior to the recent Coronavirus pandemic.)
EQUIPOS DE FÚTBOL TIGRE TERMINAN SU TEMPORADA REGULAR COMO CAMPEONES INVICTOS DE DISTRITO
Los equipos de fútbol de la preparatoria Dripping Springs High School culminaron sus temporadas regulares como campeones invictos a nivel distrito y están clasificados entre los 10 mejores del estado.
El equipo femenino [SH1] ocupa el tercer lugar en el estado según la Asociación de Entrenadores Femeninos de Texas (TGCA) con un récord general de 21-1, incluyendo 14-0 en el juego de distrito. En sus 22 partidos, DSHS ha superado a sus oponentes con un puntaje acumulativo de 108-4. El equipo de DSHS de 2019 calificó para el Torneo Estatal.
El equipo masculino está clasificado octavo en el estado por MaxPreps 5A y ha terminado su temporada regular 20-3. El equipo de varones Tigre también calificó 14-0 en el juego de distrito. En sus 23 partidos, DSHS ha superado a sus oponentes con un puntaje acumulativo de 106-18. Las únicas derrotas de los Tigres en esta temporada ha sido en contra de los equipos 5A top-10 de Frisco Wakeland (# 1), Frisco Centennial (# 9), y el equipo 6A Temple.
