DSHS WINS ONE-ACT PLAY

The Dripping Springs High School production of "Unexpected Tenderness" won top honors at the 5A District 25 UIL One-Act Play Contest March 11. DSHS students received a first-place ranking from all three adjudicators while competing against seven other area schools.

Several students also received special awards. Austin Harper, was recognized as the Best Performer, Cassie Martin and Ben Muscanere were named to the All-Star Cast, Alyssa Nimocks received honorable mention on the All-Star Cast, and Lizzie Galassini was recognized as a member of the Honor Crew.

The company will now advance to Bi-District Contest in Seguin on March 28.

DSHS GANA ALTOS HONORES POR SU PRODUCCIÓN TEATRAL

La producción teatral de un solo acto de la preparatoria Dripping Springs High School titulado "Ternura Inesperada" ganó los máximos honores en el concurso UIL One-Act Play Contest del distrito 5A-25 el 11 de marzo. Los tres jueces otorgaron el primer lugar a los alumnos de DSHS los que competían contra otras siete escuelas del área.

Varios alumnos también recibieron premios especiales. Austin Harper, fue reconocido como el Mejor Intérprete, Cassie Martin y Ben Muscanere fueron nombrados al Reparto de Estrellas, Alyssa Nimocks recibió una mención de honor en el Reparto de Estrellas, y Lizzie Galassini fue reconocida como miembro del Equipo de Honor.

La compañía ahora avanza al concurso bi distrito en Seguin el 28 de marzo.
