ELEMENTARY STUDENTS PLACE AT REGIONAL SCIENCE FESTIVAL

Four Dripping Springs ISD elementary students placed first and seven earned second-place ribbons at the 2020 Austin Energy Regional Science Festival.

Two student each from Dripping Springs Elementary and Walnut Springs Elementary earned the highest honor. Placing first were: Laney Caldwell (WSE) with her project "Exciting Carnations," Charlie Nevin (WSE) with "Pink Petal Paint," William Tait (DSE) with "A Catapulting Conclusion," and Avery Wyatt (DSE) with "Balloon Blower."

Placing second were Ainsley Badger (DSE) with "Ice, Ice, Color!," Allen Kundukulanga (DSE) with "Electromagnetism in Action," Foster Mack (WSE) with "10 and 2B Safe," EJ Noonan (DSE) with "Crazy Magnetic Fields," Chloe Street (DSE) with "The Junkbot," Reagan Wellins (WSE) with "Does Playing Video Games Affect Hand-Eye Coordination?," and Hayden Wyatt (DSE) with "From Food to Power."

DSISD awards from the secondary competition previously were released.

ALUMNOS DE PRIMARIA PARTICIPAN EN EL FESTIVAL REGIONAL DE CIENCIAS

Cuatro alumnos de primaria del distrito escolar Dripping Springs ISD salieron en primer lugar y siete en segundo lugar en el festival regional de ciencias 2020 de Austin Energy.

Dos alumnos de las primarias Dripping Springs Elementary y Walnut Springs Elementary obtuvieron el más alto honor. Los primeros lugares fueron a: Laney Caldwell (WSE) con su proyecto "Exciting Carnations" (claveles emocionantes), Charlie Nevin (WSE) con "Pink Petal Paint" (pintura de pétalos rosados), William Tait (DSE) con "A Catapulting Conclusion" (una conclusión lanzante), y Avery Wyatt (DSE) con "Balloon Blower" (soplador de globos).

En segundo lugar: Ainsley Badger (DSE) con "Ice, Ice, Color!" (hielo, hielo, color), Allen Kundukulanga (DSE) con "Electromagnetism in Action" (electromagnetismo en acción), Foster Mack (WSE) con "10 and 2B Safe" (10 y para estar seguros), EJ Noonan (DSE) con " Crazy Magnetic Fields” (campos de magnetismo locos), Chloe Street (DSE) con "The Junkbot" (el robot de basura), Reagan Wellins (WSE) con "Does Playing Video Games Affect Hand-Eye Coordination?" (¿es que el jugar videojuegos afecta la coordinación ojo-mano?), Y Hayden Wyatt (DSE) con "From Food to Power" (de la comida al poder).
