DSHS IN SOCCER PLAYOFFS: GIRLS ADVANCE, BOYS DEFEATED

The DSHS Lady Tigers soccer team has advanced to the 5A-Region IV Tournament, while the boys' season came to an end in the regional quarterfinals.

On April 5, the DSHS girls' team defeated Boerne Champion HS 4-3, avenging an early season loss to the Chargers and improving their season mark to 20-4-3 and the season goal differential to 118-16. The Lady Tigers defeated SA Wagner HS 4-0 in the bi-district round and Harlan HS 7-0 in the area round. The regional tournament begins with a regional semifinal match versus Gregory-Portland HS at Corpus Christi's Cabaniss Soccer Field on Friday, April 12, at 6:30 p.m. If the Lady Tigers defeat Gregory-Portland they will advance to the regional final match at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday versus the winner of the match between Alamo Heights HS and Victoria East HS.

Also on April 5, the DSHS boys' season ended with a 2-1 loss versus Kerrville Tivy HS. The Tigers had defeated Harlandale HS in bi-district and Winn HS (Eagle Pass) in area to advance to the regional quarterfinals. The Tigers concluded their season with a final record of 16-4-7.

LOS EQUIPOS DE SOCCER DSHS AVANZAN A DESEMPATE

Ambos equipos Tigre, campeones a nivel distrito, han avanzado a la segunda vuelta de desempate 5A estatal después de salir vencedores en la primera vuelta.

El 29 de marzo, el equipo masculino DSHS derrotó a Harlandale HS 6-0 mejorando su puntaje de temporada a 15-3-7. El equipo masculino juega la segunda vuelta de desempate contra Winn HS (de Eagle Pass) en el estadio Harlandale Memorial Stadium en San Antonio el martes, 2 de abril, a las 6:30 p.m.
