DSHS IN THIRD PLACE IN LATEST LONE STAR CUP UPDATE
Following the most recent update to the 2018-19 Lone Star Cup standings, Dripping Springs High School is in third place in Conference 5A with 50 points. The most recent update includes results from swimming and diving, wrestling, mariachi, film, and basketball competition. Highland Park HS is first, followed by Cedar Park HS, DSHS, Frisco Wakeland HS, and Canyon Randall HS.
Lone Star Cup points are awarded based on their team performance in district and state championships. The winning schools in each classification will receive the UIL Lone Star Cup trophy and a $1,000 scholarship. Events that are tallied for the competition include: state and area marching band, tennis, team tennis, cross country, volleyball, football, swimming and diving, wrestling, girls’ basketball, soccer, golf, track and field, academics, one-act play, softball, and baseball. During the 2017-18 school year Dripping Springs HS finished in fourth place in 5A, its highest finish ever.

Highland Park HS quedó en primer lugar, seguido de Cedar Park HS, DSHS, Frisco Wakeland HS y Canyon Randall HS.
Los puntos de la Copa Lone Star se otorgan según el rendimiento de los equipos en los campeonatos a nivel distrito y estatales. Las escuelas ganadoras en cada clasificación recibirán el trofeo UIL Lone Star Cup y una beca de $ 1,000.
