NEW ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT HIRED
At the Feb. 25 meeting, the Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Superintendent Bruce Gearing’s recommendation of Scott Drillette as the district’s new Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations.
Mr. Drillette has more than 15 years of experience in educational administration, including a year in his current role as Manor ISD’s Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he was the superintendent of Brock ISD for three years, after serving as the district’s CFO for a year. Mr. Drillette served in several other capacities in Brock ISD: Assistant Superintendent, Athletic Director, and high school principal. Prior to arriving in Brock, he had been a teacher then an assistant principal in Aledo ISD. He started his career in education as a math teacher at two Texas school districts, and also spent eight years in private business.
In his position at Dripping Springs ISD, Mr. Drillette will be the district’s Chief Financial Officer. In addition to managing DSISD business and financial services, he will develop the annual district budget. The position oversees support functions such as Human Resources, Transportation, Community Services, Facilities and Construction, and Child Nutrition.
Mr. Drillette received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University and his master’s degree in Educational Administration from Tarleton State University.

Mr. Drillette will begin his new responsibilities at DSISD in late March. Currently Ms. Kay Kizziar is serving as the interim Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations.
EL NUEVO ASISTENTE AL SUPERINTENDENTE HA SIDO CONTRATADO
En la asamblea de la Mesa Directiva Escolar DSISD el 25 de febrero, la recomendación del superintendente Bruce Gearing para contratar a Scott Drillette como el nuevo superintendente auxiliar de finanzas y operaciones del distrito, fue aprobada por unanimidad.
Drillette tiene más de 15 años de experiencia en administración educativa, incluyendo un año en su posición actual como director de finanzas en Manor ISD. Anteriormente, fue el superintendente de Brock ISD durante tres años, después de haber desempeñado el cargo de director financiero del distrito por un año. El Sr. Drillette desempeñó otras funciones en Brock ISD: asistente al superintendente, director de atletismo y director de preparatoria. Antes de llegar a Brock, había sido maestro y luego subdirector en Aledo ISD. Comenzó su carrera en educación como profesor de matemáticas en dos distritos escolares de Texas, y también pasó ocho años en negocios privados.
En su puesto en Dripping Springs ISD, Drillette será el Director Financiero del distrito. Además de administrar los servicios financieros y de negocios de DSISD, desarrollará el presupuesto anual del distrito. La posición supervisa funciones de apoyo como Recursos Humanos, Transporte, Servicios a la Comunidad, Instalaciones y Construcción, y Nutrición Infantil.
El Sr. Drillette recibió su licenciatura en administración de empresas con la universidad de Texas A&M y su maestría en administración educativa con la Universidad Estatal de Tarleton.
