PTA REFLECTIONS STATE QUALIFIERS


The creative work of 19 Dripping Springs ISD students will move on to the 2019 Texas PTA “Reflections” State Contest based on artistic merit, creativity, mastery of the medium, and interpretation of the theme. Each year the DSISD PTA Council hosts the Reflections program for students to submit creative works of art in various categories that follow a theme; this year’s theme was “Heroes Around Me.” One artwork piece was selected to represent DSISD from each grade division (Primary, Intermediate, Middle, and Senior) that had entries and from each Arts category (Dance Choreography, Visual Arts, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Film Production).

Winners at the state level will advance to the national level. State results will be posted on the Texas PTA website (txpta.org) in early March.

ESTUDIANTES DE DSISD CALIFICAN EN LA COMPETENCIA DE ARTE PTA REFLECTIONS

El empeño creativo de 19 alumnos de Dripping Springs ISD Avanza a la competencia de arte estatal 2019 Texas PTA “Reflections” State Contest basado en mérito artístico, creatividad, dominio del medio, e interpretación del tema. Cada año el consejo DSISD PTA organiza el programa Reflections donde los alumnos presentan sus obras de arte creativas en varias categorías sobre un tema; el tema de este año fue “Heroes Around Me” (héroes alrededor de mí). Una obra fue seleccionada para representar a DSISD de cada división de grados (primaria, intermedia, secundaria, y preparatoria) que tuvo presentaciones y de cada categoría artística (danza, coreografía, artes visuales, literatura, composición musical, fotografía y producción cinematográfica).

Las obras ganadores en la competencia estatal avanzan al nivel nacional. Los resultados del a competencia estatal serán publicados en el sitio web Texas PTA (txpta.org) a principios de marzo.
