TIGER FOOTBALL PLAYERS RECEIVE POST-SEASON HONORS


The Dripping Springs High School Tiger football team is well-represented in post-season honors, including two special award winners at the district level and 10 players receiving academic all-state recognition.

District 12-5A special award winners were senior Tanner Prewit as the Most Valuable Player, sophomore receiver Cameron O'Banan as the Co-Offensive Newcomer of the Year, and Stephen Ansumana as the Co-Defensive Newcomer of the Year. In addition, the Tiger coaches were honored as the District 12-5A Coaching Staff of the Year.

Named to the All-District First Team were running back Jake Cox (unanimous selection), wide receiver Parker Alford (unanimous selection), offensive linemen Colin DeWitt and Jake Williamson, center Kevin Kelly, defensive tackle Kevin Perrydore, linebackers Jakob Joy and Nico Ramirez, safety Cole Cavender (unanimous selection), and punter Cameron O'Banan. Named to the All-District Second Team were running back Curtis Cox, wide receiver Ty Kaatz, offensive lineman Manny Ansumana (unanimous selection), kicker Coleman Chapman, linebacker Haden Dahl, cornerbacks Lane Dominey and Andres Flores Perry. Dominey also earned second-team honors as a returner. Receiving all-district honorable mention were wide receiver Enzo Arnold, offensive lineman Jackson Massey, kicker Desi de la Cruz, and linebacker Adam Ahlman.

Ten Tigers were included on the Academic All-State Team. Nico Ramirez was selected as an "Elite" member; Parker Alford, Colin DeWitt and Gage Duncan earned first-team honors; Jake Cox and Ty Kaatz received second-team recognition; and Adam Ahlman, Ryan Davenport, Alex Hay, and Nathan Koch received honorable mention. Academic all-state players must maintain a 92 grade average, with other academic factors considered.

Other players who earned spots on the Academic All-District Team, which means they maintained a 90 average throughout the season, were: Preston Alford, Brock Bolinger, Keith Bottles, Stephen Ansumana, Coleman Chapman, Wes Dube, Jakob Joy, Kevin Kelly, Caleb Key, Carter King, Jackson Massey, Jack Masters, Josh McMullen, Grey Patterson, Alex Schlab, and Zach Tjemeland.

LOS JUGADORES DE FÚTBOL TIGRE RECIBEN HONORES AL FINAL DE LA TEMPORADA

El equipo de fútbol Tigre de la preparatoria Dripping Springs High School, recibió dos premios especiales a nivel distrito y 10 jugadores que recibieron el reconocimiento académico all-state.
