FRESHMAN HONORED AT NATIONAL REFLECTIONS CONTEST

Drew Wilson, who will be a freshman at Dripping Springs High School, received Honorable Mention at the 2017 National PTA Reflections competition. He was honored for his photo, “Choosing My Colors.” Drew's entry moved on to the national level after receiving an Award of Excellence at the state competition. In fact, he had the distinctive honor of having two of his entries advancing to the state level. The other was artwork titled “My Life Underwater.”

Drew is the son of Nikki Loftin and Dave Wilson.

Drew's piece was one of two DSISD entries that qualified for the national competition; James Bartling's musical composition titled “My Story” also made a showing. In addition, this marks the second time in two years a Dripping Springs student was recognized at the national level; Miranda McShan accomplishments this honor last year.

ALUMNO DE PREPARATORIA ES RECONOCIDO POR SU FOTOGRAFÍA

Drew Wilson, quien entra a primer grado de preparatoria en Dripping Springs ISD, recibe mención honorífica en la competencia nacional 2017 PTA Reflections. Fue reconocido por su fotografía, “Choosing My Colors” (escogiendo mis colores). La presentación de Drew pasó al nivel nacional después de recibir el premio de excelencia en el concurso estatal. Es más, él recibió un honor especial ya que dos de sus obras avanzaron al nivel estatal. Su otra fotografía llevó el título de “My Life Underwater” (mi vida bajo el agua).

Drew es hijo de Nikki Loftin y Dave Wilson.

La obra de Drew fue una de dos presentaciones de DSISD que calificaron para la competencia nacional; la composición musical de James Bartling titulada “My Story” (mi historia) también fue reconocida. Además, esto marca la segunda vez en dos años que un alumno de Dripping Springs ISD es reconocido a nivel nacional; Miranda McShan recibió este mismo honor el año pasado.
